Light years beyond those soppy, uncomfortable People magazine "I'm a Gay!" cover stories, the next wave of actors are coming out in simpler, more natural ways. In October 2011, Zachary Quinto, then 34, came out midparagraph, midsentence, in a dependent clause, while discussing his role in Angels in America: "And at the same time, as a gay man, it made me feel like there's still so much work to be done." He is no longer dating Broadway actor, Looking star Jonathan Groff. Last summer, Prison Break's Wentworth Earl Miller III (top), then 41, came out in a letter declining an invitation to St. Petersburg's film fest because of Russia's deplorable homophobia. Wentworth was born in England to American parents, white mother, black father who was a Rhodes Scholar. In addition to his acting work, Wentworth writes screenplays, most recently Stoker, starring Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska, and Matthew Goode.
