Lesbian Ariel Levy's painful essay about her late miscarriage while traveling in Mongolia was one of four writing awards for The New Yorker this afternoon at the Ellies, but a big winner was New York (for best general interest publication, best design, and best website), while Fast Company was named magazine of the year.
