The WSJ reports for his debut commission in 1934 he transformed a villa on Long Island Sound with crystal chandeliers, gray and pink lacquered floors, and unadorned walls. Eighty years later, this week Rizzoli releases this gorgeous first book about him George Stacey and the Creation of American Chic by Maureen Footer.
