Lambda this morning announced the winners of their annual prizes for Mid-Career Novelists Who Have Used 'Tides' in Romance Titles, Radclyffe and Michael Thomas Ford, known for his many humor collections and many novels like Suicide Notes, What We Remember, and The Road Home.
Lambda's two Emerging Writers are familiar to readers of Thebes queer lit poll: Charles Rice-Gonzalez, author of Chulito [Kindle], and Imogen Binnie, whose Nevada [Kindle] inspired Michelle Tea to say, "This book blew my mind. It’s everything – personal, political, funny, raw, hyper-brainy and down to earth. I want to stay in Maria’s brain forever as she rides her bike through the streets of Brooklyn, doggedly hashing out her existence with humor and befuddled honesty. A really powerful new literary voice."
