Twenty years after his first television appearance (on The Fall Guy), Southern sparkplug Leslie Jordan won an Emmy for his recurring guest role on Will & Grace as Karen's classically queeny rival, Beverly Leslie. Two years later he unleashed his book and solo show, My Trip Down the Pink Carpet [DVD], a high-spirited romp about his "Marilyn Monroe Syndrome," charting his course from smalltown Tennessee prejudices, self-hatred, Hollywood, alcoholism, more Hollywood, self-acceptance, still more Hollywood, sobriety, drama, and fame. This year he hosted the Hookie Awards for outstanding achievement in gay escort work.
