Grammy Nominees: Macklemore, Sedaris, Britten, Bowie, Safe & Sound

Bi David Bowie, 66, is nominated for Best Package, as well as two less intriguing awards, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance on The Next Day.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's pro-gay anthem Same Love is nominated for Song of the Year. The ambiguous duo are up for five other awards including Best New Artist. 

The Spoken Word award has devolved into a comic's prize again this year, with nominees Billy Crystal for reading his book Still Foolin' 'Em, Stephen Colbert, Carol Burnett for Carrie and Me, David Sedaris, and Pete Seeger. And then there's the comedy album category: Kathy Griffin, Craig Ferguson, Ron White, Tig Notaro, and Bob Saget.

Safe & Sound by Capital Cities, the L.A. electronic duo who met on craigslist, is nominated for Best Video.

Even though Adele has already won every award on earth for a theme song to a movie released thirteen months ago,  now her Skyfall is up for a Grammy.
