At yesterday's National Magazine Awards luncheon, multiple honors for New York, National Geographic, and Texas Monthly, along with wins for The Paris Review, Vogue, Martha Stewart Living, Outside, W, Saveur, Time, Wired, Los Angeles, GQ, Slate, the Atlantic, and, god bless them, Mother Jones for the Romney 47% video. Inexplicably, the judges claim the best piece of fiction published in any magazine last year was "Batman and Robin Have an Altercation," by Stephen King in Harper's. It's the second time he's won.
The New Yorker got zilch.
