Wachowskis Lose Their Hard 'R' Gay Soldier Love Story

Deadline Hollywood reports the Wachowski duo who directed The Matrix, Speed Racer, and the lesbian heist flick Bound aren't going to make their movie about a gay relationship between a male U.S. soldier and an Iraqi man after all. In something of an understatement:

"The Wachowskis just finished [David Mitchell's] Cloud Atlas. They had circulated to financiers a script last spring for a hard-R drama they wanted to direct about a gay relationship between a U.S. soldier and an Iraqi, but had trouble setting it up."

Instead, Lana and Andy return to sci-fi with Jupiter Ascending, maybe starring Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum [right]. He may suggest a classic hot dunce but, like Brad Pitt, he can be funny. Yes, I saw the okay 21 Jump Street, and yes he's enjoyable.
