Deadline Hollywood reports the Wachowski duo who directed The Matrix, Speed Racer, and the lesbian heist flick Bound
aren't going to make their movie about a gay relationship between a male U.S. soldier and an Iraqi man after all. In something of an understatement:
"The Wachowskis just finished [David Mitchell's] Cloud Atlas. They had circulated to financiers a script last spring for a hard-R drama they wanted to direct about a gay relationship between a U.S. soldier and an Iraqi, but had trouble setting it up."
Instead, Lana and Andy return to sci-fi with Jupiter Ascending, maybe starring Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum [right]. He may suggest a classic hot dunce but, like Brad Pitt, he can be funny. Yes, I saw the okay 21 Jump Street, and yes he's enjoyable.
