Great post and glorious pics. Thank you. This is, hands down, the best Fourth of July piece I read this year -- or any other year for that matter.

Great post. Great slogan/chant. I haven't seen it before.

Great photos!! Thanks again for all of your help. It was a super fun event once again.

It was a grand day...I believe the speechlessness of the emcee will ultimately provide us with more voice...funny how that works. Great photos and many thanks.

Who was it that was emceeing?

As a professional announcer/Emcee/Show Hostess for over thirty years here in Anchorage, I am "hired" to read aloud what's on the prepared parade entry sheet, without major personal commentary. I call it being a paid for mouth piece. I have announced many parades and functions, and regardless of your beliefs you just read into a really hot microphone. Is it possible the announcer dropped his paperwork or notes as they came by the reviewing stand, or was this an OBVIOUS omition or refusal to announce the float?
Love to all, Daph.

Catriona

great story & pictures ~ however the debut was 2009, and a different emcee managed to read our info then

I am Proud of the Homer PFLAG and GSA for stepping up to the plate in the Parade. We need to be who we are and do it united! (fabulous pictures)
