If I had known documentaries could be made with such energy I would have watched a lot more documentaries in my life. Ricki Stern And Annie Sundberg really know how to pace a film. Joan Rivers: A Piece Of Work is often calm, but never dull. Easily the best documentary I have ever seen.

I loved I Am Love. Best scene: extreme close-up of Tilda eating shrimp. That should be her Oscar clip.
Also check out Winter's Bone: Ozark Gothic. Authentic, well-written, and well-acted by a lot of unknowns (to me).
