Thank you so much for posting this. This is one of my favourite pictures of her. She looks so beautiful!
It's a too- common misconception that Virginia Woolf was a gloomy, miserable genius. She was in fact capable of extraordinary humour & had a great zest for life when she was not overcome by illness. She enjoyed writing letters to her friends, loved to exchange opinions with others, & had an unfailing delight in learning new things.

Yes, she did kill her self, but, while she lived, she experienced & documented the things she saw with nearly inconceivable amounts of subtleness & clarity. It would be an insult to her ability as an author to think of Woolf as being only concerned with the morose aspects of life.

That's the kind of image that i really thing is super image like. If more images very real like this were out there we'd be super full of graet images in the world.
