Benjamin Alire Sáenz, 58, has won the prestigious PEN/Faulkner Award for his gay story collection Everything Begins and Ends at the Kentucky Club [Kindle]. Ignored by mainstream publishers and media, the book is a paperback original from Cinco Puntos Press.
