I hear the wonderful humorist and all-around-splendid-person David Rakoff is struggling with his cancer. The very best way to keep him in your dearest thoughts is to re-read his exceptionally smart, gay, funny books, and tell him they are still among your favorite laughs. His most recent collection, Half Empty [Kindle], won the Thurber Prize. His earlier works Don't Get Too Comfortable [Kindle] and Fraud [Kindle] are equally marvelous.
Damn.
