Rather than air kissing celebrities, maybe GLAAD could pressure NBC now about not again degaying the LGBT athletes at this summer's Olympics, as the network did with gold medal gay Matthew Mitcham in Beijing in 2008. Mitcham [below] hopes to repeat his win in London and he is unlikely to be the only out male Olympian among several lesbians. Stanford class of 2011 gymnast Josh Dixon is in excellent position to score a spot with the US team, and he just came out. Dixon [top] says his teammates' response to his dating another Stanford varsity male athlete was, "Oh that's cool." He also says since coming out publicly he has received no negative reaction. Before your crush on the half-Japanese, half-black, 5'9" Californian goes too far, his team bio claims the best book he ever read is Angels & Demons. I hope he meant Angels & Insects.
