The Publishing Triangle this morning announced their finalists in six categories. I just don't see how a nominees list can be meaningful without Colm Toibin's great triumph The Empty Family.
Winners will be announced April 19 in a free, public ceremony at the New School. The Bill Whitehead Award for lifetime achievement will be given to Alison Bechdel, whose Are You My Mother?: A Comic Drama
will be released May 1.

It's possible Colm's book wasn't submitted. I know I had to submit myself. Publishers aren't as helpful as they used to be:)

Good point, Bob. I'm so glad you did nominate ROTIF. As for publishers... sadly, yes, very much less helpful. *Someone* could write a funny essay about all the ways real publishers make their authors work exactly like the self-published.

You know I didn't love it so I'm not upset.
