Only in their sixth year, the UK's Stonewall Awards have become the world's powerhouse queer prizes, and, amazingly, they do not honor movies but they do name a best book. Along with nominees for politics, sports, entertainment, broadcasting, journalism, hero, and bigot, the shortlisted writers are:
