WITH VIEW TO A RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION OF WORK BY PATRICK ANGUS, I WOULD APPRECIATE OWNERS OF HIS WORK TO CONTACT ME REGARDING THE PIECES THEY OWN, EVEN IF THEY WOULD NOT LIKE TO LEND THEM. THEY STILL MIGHT BE ABLE TO BE IN THE CATALOGUE OF HIS WORK.
THANKS.

Michael Richardson

I bought two Angus paintings several years ago from the estate of Sally Boreham, here in Fort Smith AR. I only recently discovered who the artist was, as his paintings were signed "Angus" on the reverse of the canvas. Both works are about 18-22. One depicts a small kitchen in an efficiency apt and another is of a young black man in a red shirt and black bowtie seated on a simple wooden chair alongside of a fireplace. I have always loved both paintiungs and appreciate finding out abouyt the artist. His story, of course, makes the paintings even more special to me.

Winthrop Smith

I discovered Patrick's work in Christopher Street magazine and contacted him, since I was writing poetry about, and visiting, the Gaiety. He was unbelievably generous, inviting me to his apartment for dinner after which he showed me, often unscrolling work, which I was then able to include in my first collection of poetry: Ghetto: From the First Five.
